PUBLIC ENTITY ACCOUNT REPRESENTATIVE

Classification: Exempt Department: Public Entity
Manager Title: Public Entity Manager Office Location: Home / Marlton Office

The primary purposes of the Public Entity Account Representative are to 1) service the assigned Public Entity clients and 2) provide administrative & technical support to the other Department team members.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform all tasks associated with securing new or renewal coverage for assigned clients insured with JIFs or commercial carriers including but not limited to: completing marketing submission, analyze quotations and prepare proposals, & bind coverage. Complete all applicable actions in the Agency Management System.
  • Assists clients in complying with insurer requirements including but not limited to: complying with specific program requirements, implementing risk management controls, and executing applicable documents.
  • Attend all applicable Joint Insurance Fund / Insurance Commission meetings and advise clients and Manager of Action Items.
  • Attend all applicable client meetings.
  • Perform all tasks associated with securing new or renewal statutory bonds for all Department clients. Complete all applicable actions in the Agency Management System.
  • Assist with all tasks associated with the SPELLJIF Student Accident Insurance Program as directed by the Department Manager.
  • Assist with ensuring all Department clients exposures are accurate in Joint Insurance Funds’ databases as directed by the Account Manager/Executive.
  • Must adhere to and update department policies and procedures.
  • Perform special projects at management’s requests.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Property & Casualty Insurance License preferred.
  • One to three years experience in public entity or commercial insurance preferred.
  • Must be organized, self-motivated, resourceful, and proactive.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely (written & verbal).
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills and ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Must be able to effectively and independently manage workload, while exhibiting good judgment.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs.
